Medium Density Fibreboard or MDF is a type of hardboard, which is made from wood fibres glued under heat and pressure. It is dense, flat, stiff, has no knots and is easily machined. As it is made up of fine particles it does not have an easily recognisable surface grain and it can therefore be painted to produce a smooth quality surface, it can be cut, drilled, machined and filed without damaging the surface.
Craven Timber offers a wide variety of thickness and sheet sizes (3mm – 30mm) of this popular DIY product in both standard grade and moisture resistant. Our high quality & versatile MDF is suitable for a variety of end uses and is fully certified.
